Primary Responsibility of developing marketing and promotional strategies for achieving product and revenue targets month on month towards achieving annual Business Target
Develop/Implement volume driving strategies executed by self, Lilly Area managers and Medical Representatives through demand generation activities to achieve annual Lilly and BD targets
Proper forecast to ensure all year-round product availability of Lilly and BD SKUs/Products
Regular Inventory monitoring to ensure liquidation of products with low shelf life to prevent/reduce risk of expiry
Achieve the yearly planned activities & ensure realization of expected ROI
Train Lilly area managers and medical representatives on product and medical marketing
Set KPIs and monitor performance for each team member and ensure Mid and End-year appraisals are done on time
Work with, and supervise Lilly area managers and medical representatives to achieve monthly targets of CME, MGS, Calls and Medical Detailing using the required SOP
Plan, strategize and execute successful launch of new products and ensure adequate promotion of the products post-launch.
Interface and interact with KOL and participate in major and national healthcare promotional activities that will impact CHI and Lilly positively
Work and follow through with the company’s regulatory manager on product registrations, renewals and withdrawals of Lilly and BD products
Work and follow through with Quality department on Lilly and BD product recalls and occasionally organized mock recalls in readiness for recall eventualities
Ensure adequate compliance to CHI and Lilly Policies and Principles by all Lilly Area Managers and Medical Representative
Experience and Requirements:
Minimum of Bachelors’ degree in Pharmacy, B. Pharm or Pharm
Would have worked as a medical representative for at least 2 years
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as area or regional manager
Other Professional qualification would be an added advantage
Required Skills:
Excellent communication skills (including written, oral and presentation skills)
Attention to details and good detailing skills
Strong problem solving & analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
