Job Summary

• The MIS Officer is crucial in managing and improving our Management Information Systems, using their expertise in accounting or banking and finance.
• This role focuses on ensuring data accuracy, generating insightful reports, and supporting decision-making.
• The ideal candidate will enhance data management processes, maintain systems, and collaborate across departments to drive strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate databases.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to generate useful reports.
• Use advanced Excel and other data analysis tools to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reports and databases.
• Prepare and deliver timely, accurate, and comprehensive reports to support management decision-making.
• Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project implementation.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in MIS technologies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the MIS Manager or Head of MIS.

Skills Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
• Proficiency in other data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Information Systems or any related field.
• Additional relevant certifications are a plus.

Experience:

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in MIS roles within accounting or finance settings.
