Milling Operator at Ascentech Services Limited

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor cassava milling equipment such as hammer mills, raspers, or graters.
• Feed raw cassava tubers into the milling system and maintain continuous throughput.
• Check and adjust machine parameters (speed, feed rate, blade sharpness, etc.) for optimal grinding efficiency.
• Monitor consistency and particle size of milled cassava mash as per quality standards.
• Perform pre-start checks and routine equipment cleaning.
• Ensure timely removal of fibrous waste or peel residue from the process line.
• Conduct minor maintenance, such as lubrication, filter cleaning, and screen changes.
• Record shift production data including input-output quantity, downtime, and maintenance logs.
• Report any mechanical issues or abnormal equipment behavior to the maintenance team.
• Adhere to safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines within the milling area.

Qualifications

• High school / ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Food Processing, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in cassava or similar root crop processing (milling/grating/crushing).
• Familiarity with cassava processing operations (especially for starch or ethanol production) is a plus.
