    Medical Officer

    Job Summary

    • Are you a compassionate and dedicated Medical Officer with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care? MART Medicare Women & Children Hospital, a member of the MART Group of Health Services, is seeking a skilled Medical Officer to provide high-quality medical services to women, children, and general patients in a professional, patient-centered environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings.
    • Conduct thorough clinical assessments, diagnose illnesses, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
    • Perform daily ward rounds and monitor patients' progress, documenting findings accurately.
    • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions where necessary.
    • Collaborate with consultants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
    • Prescribe medications and order appropriate diagnostic investigations.
    • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records in accordance with hospital policies.
    • Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle practices.
    • Participate in on-call duty rosters, clinical meetings, case reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and ethical medical practice.

    Requirements

    • MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
    • Valid practicing license issued by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
    • Minimum of 2 years' post-NYSC clinical experience.
    • Experience in maternal, pediatric, or family medicine is an added advantage.
    • Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
    • High level of professionalism, integrity, and patient-centered care.
    • Proficiency in electronic medical records is an added advantage.
