The role involves collecting and processing samples, conducting tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring quality control and biosafety standards. The technician will work under the supervision of a Medical Laboratory Scientist to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable laboratory results.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, label, and process patient specimens (blood, urine, etc.)
Perform routine laboratory tests in hematology, microbiology, and biochemistry
Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory supplies
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
Ensure compliance with laboratory quality control procedures
