Media Library Executive at Smooth Promotions

• We are currently seeking a highly organized *Media Librarian Executive* to join our team.
• This individual will be responsible for managing, cataloging, and overseeing the proper storage of all media assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize, manage, and maintain the company’s media library, ensuring all digital content is stored securely and easily accessible.
• Catalogue and index all media assets, including video, audio, images, and documents, using standardized metadata, tagging, and categorization.
• Oversee digital rights management of media assets, ensuring compliance with usage rights, licenses, and copyright regulations.
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., creative, production, and technical teams) to ensure seamless access to media assets for various projects.
• Implement best practices for the organization and storage of media files, ensuring efficient data retrieval.
• Assist with content requests, ensuring the right media is delivered to the right stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in media management and content archiving.
• Manage the backup systems and ensure the integrity and security of all media assets.
• Create and maintain reports on asset usage, availability, and distribution.
• Ensure that the media library complies with local and international copyright and intellectual property laws.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in media management, digital archiving, or content organization (experience in the media or entertainment industry preferred).
• Strong understanding of media file formats, digital asset management systems (DAM), and metadata standards.
• Familiarity with digital rights management and copyright laws, especially in the Nigerian context.
• Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail.
• Proficiency in media management software and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, etc.).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a collaborative team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Management, Media Studies, or a related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in a media library or archival role is an advantage.
