Mechanical Technician at Harvest Feed and Agro Processing Limited

Job Summary

• Harvest Feeds and Agro Processing Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment and machinery within the facility. The ideal candidate must be capable of ensuring the efficient operation of production and utility equipment while minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs promptly
• Install, inspect, and maintain production and utility equipment
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements where necessary
• Replace worn or defective mechanical components as required
• Assist in equipment installation, commissioning, and modification projects
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
• Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance procedures at all times
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to achieve operational efficiency

Requirements

• Minimum of OND, Trade Test, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Good knowledge of pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, compressors, and other mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Added Advantage

• Experience working in a manufacturing or agro-processing company
• Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and equipment alignment techniques
• Professional or technical certifications related to mechanical maintenance
