The Mechanical Sales Engineer will be responsible for promoting and selling mechanical engineering products, solutions, and services to both new and existing clients.
The role requires a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen to understand customer needs, develop tailored engineering solutions, deliver compelling proposals, and achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities while achieving assigned sales targets.
Develop and present technical proposals, quotations, and customised engineering solutions to clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing guidance and after-sales technical support.
Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and internal sales teams to ensure accurate solutions and timely delivery.
Conduct market research to monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
3 – 5 years of proven experience in mechanical sales engineering.
Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and engineering solutions.
Demonstrated ability to develop proposals, close sales deals, and meet sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into customer-oriented solutions.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
High level of professionalism, problem-solving ability, and commercial awareness.
Experience in the industrial, engineering, or manufacturing sector is an added advantage.
