    Mechanical Engineer

    Role Summary

    • The Mechanical Engineer Officer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimization of machinery and mechanical systems at Freee Recycle Limited.
    • This role is critical to supporting the company’s zero-waste policy and ensuring the efficient recycling of materials, including crumb rubber and material chips.

    Key Responsibilities
    Machine Maintenance and Optimization:

    • Conduct routine maintenance of mechanical equipment, including shredders, grinders, and conveyor systems.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
    • Monitor the performance of machinery and suggest improvements for efficiency.

    Operational Support:

    • Collaborate with production teams to ensure optimal operation of mechanical systems.
    • Assist in setting up and calibrating new equipment as required.

    Project Management:

    • Lead mechanical projects, including the installation and commissioning of new machines.
    • Prepare technical reports and documentation for projects and maintenance activities.

    Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure all mechanical operations comply with safety standards and regulations.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures for mechanical systems.

    Inventory Management:

    • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and ensure availability for critical components.
    • Work with procurement to source quality parts and materials.

    Training and Development:

    • Train and guide technical staff and IT students under supervision.
    • Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for mechanical systems.

    Sustainability Initiatives:

    • Support the company’s zero-waste policy by ensuring efficient mechanical processes that minimize waste.
    • Identify opportunities to recycle and repurpose mechanical components where possible.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
    • 3 - 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering roles, preferably in recycling or manufacturing industries.
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
    • Proficiency in using CAD software and other engineering tools.
    • Familiarity with safety and environmental standards.
    • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
    • Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
