    Mechanical Engineer

    Job Summary:

    We are looking for a skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions and contribute to the success of our projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and Development: Create detailed mechanical designs and specifications for new products or components, considering factors like functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
    • CAD Modeling: Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create 2D and 3D models of mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
    • Material Selection: Identify suitable materials for various components and structures based on their mechanical properties and intended use.
    • Prototyping: Build and test prototypes to evaluate the performance and functionality of mechanical designs, making necessary adjustments.
    • Analysis: Conduct stress, thermal, and other relevant analyses to ensure the structural integrity and performance of mechanical systems.
    • Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans, as well as oversee testing processes to verify product performance and compliance with specifications.
    • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including design reports, drawings, and bills of materials.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components into overall systems.
    • Cost Control: Collaborate on cost estimation and value engineering efforts to optimize product costs without compromising quality.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that mechanical designs and products adhere to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to propose and implement improvements in design and engineering processes.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
    • Professional Engineering (PE) licensure is a plus.
    • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to design challenges.
    • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and machining techniques.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software is beneficial.
    • Ability to work in a team-oriented, project-based environment.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
    • Project management and leadership skills for managing small engineering projects.
