Job Summary

• A4&T Power Solutions is looking for a reliable, motivated Mate to support linemen and technical teams on renewable‑energy projects. You will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical infrastructure (solar, wind, and power‑distribution sites) while ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Field Support & General Duties

• Assist linemen and technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical lines and equipment.
• Prepare tools, materials, and work areas before and during site activities.
• Support pole, tower, and structure erection under supervision.
• Handle and transport tools, cables, and materials safely.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite at all times.
• Follow all safety procedures, including use of PPE and participation in toolbox talks.
• Conduct basic inspections and routine maintenance tasks.
• Report hazards, faults, and incidents to supervisors promptly.
• Complete job reports, safety checklists, and maintenance records accurately.
• Respond to emergency repairs and outages when required.

Construction & Line Work

• Construct, maintain, and repair overhead and underground transmission lines.
• Install, replace, and repair poles, insulators, transformers, conductors, and other line components.
• Perform energized (live‑line) and de‑energized line work using approved methods, tools, and PPE.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Secondary school certificate or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of electrical or construction work is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn and work under supervision.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Previous experience as a Mate, Electrical Assistant, or construction helper.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Basic electrical or safety‑training certificates.
• First‑Aid certification (added advantage).
