Job Summary

The Managing Director of Mshel Media provides overall strategic leadership, direction, and operational oversight for the media subsidiary. The MD is responsible for driving business growth, overseeing content production, strengthening brand visibility, managing client relationships, and ensuring the agency delivers innovative and compliant media solutions.
This role requires strong leadership, creativity, media industry expertise, and a deep understanding of advertising regulations. The ideal candidate must be ARCON certified, with proven experience leading media, advertising, or creative teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic vision, leadership, and direction for Mshel Media.
• Develop and implement business plans, growth strategies, and annual budgets.
• Oversee daily operations, team performance, and project execution.
• Oversee all broadcasting activities including live shows, news bulletins, interviews, and recorded programs.
• Should have experience in news presentation and be ready to anchor news programs when necessary, maintaining high standards of professionalism and accuracy.
• Approve news scripts, reports, headlines, and all broadcast materials.
• Drive innovation in media production, content creation, and digital advertising.
• Ensure adherence to ARCON regulatory standards and media industry best practices.
• Lead the development of high-quality media content including videos, adverts, animations, documentaries, and branded storytelling.
• Drive innovation in advertising products, packages, and commercial offerings
• Oversee the development, planning, and execution of advertising campaigns for clients and the company.
• Develop and implement revenue-generation strategies across advertising, broadcasting, digital media, and content production.
• Oversee production teams, creative directors, editors, and content strategists.
• Approve creative concepts, scripts, storyboards, and campaign materials.
• Ensure that all media output aligns with clients’ brand identity and corporate messaging.
• Identify business opportunities and expand the company’s client base.
• Manage key client accounts and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Represent Mshel Media in negotiations, presentations, and partnership meetings.
• Develop competitive proposals, pitch decks, and pricing structures.
• Maintain a strong brand identity and public image for Mshel Media.
• Ensure all advertising content complies with ARCON regulations and ethical guidelines.
• Manage crisis communication and oversee public relations activities.
• Track industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts.
• Monitor financial performance and ensure profitability of the media subsidiary.
• Implement operational policies and improve workflow systems for efficiency.
• Provide monthly performance reports to the Group Managing Director and Board.
• Train, mentor, and supervise media and creative teams.
• Foster a culture of creativity, discipline, and excellence.
• Conduct performance evaluations and implement staff development programs.
• Carrying out all other tasks in the ordinary course of business which the Board reasonably considers necessary or proper in the interest of the Company in your capacity as the Managing Director Mshel Media.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Marketing, Film Production, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field is an added advantage.
• ARCON Certification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 7–10 years senior-level experience in media production, advertising, creative direction, or communications.
• Proven track record of leading media teams and managing large-scale campaigns.
• Experience working with media agencies or creative studios is highly desirable.
