Manager - Special Projects at MTN Nigeria

Mission:

To ensure functional and effective expenditure management systems and procedures for expenditure management tracking and reporting.

Description:

• Oversee financial planning and analysis for I.H.S companies and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with financial terms outlined in the I.H.S companies Terms of Agreement (ToA) and contracts.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for I.H.S companies.
• Monitor and control financial performance against the ToA and the contracts for I.H.S companies.
• Implement cost-saving measures and financial strategies for all Tower Providers.
• Ensure accurate financial planning, forecasting, and cost control for the I.H.S companies.
• Ensure timely and accurate payments, including resolution of delayed payments.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Maintain compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Provide financial insights for strategic decision-making i.e dashboard and other metrics.
• Formulate process for effective month end activities and ensure timely submission of accurate and complete accrual reports.
• Establish effective process for the coordination and timely delivery of all audit requirements for FISCON team.
• Establish process for effective coordination and delivery of management reports both for Opco & Group
• Establish processes that query improprieties such that MTNN does not suffer any financial and reputational loss
• Review all I.H.S contracts and ensure proper implementation of service level agreements.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure financial alignment with the ToA and the contracts.
• Lead financial audits and reviews of MTNN TowerCos
• Develop and maintain internal financial policies and procedures.
• Provide financial training and support to team members.
• Align finance operations with corporate objectives, maintaining efficient workflow across departments.

Education:

• First degree in Accounting or any other numerate discipline
• Professional Accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or international equivalent)
• MBA will be an added advantage.
• Fluent in English 

Experience:

6 - 13 years’ experience which includes:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with experience in supervising/managing others
• Experience working in a medium to large organization 
• Experience in Business Development.
• Experience working with Telco Systems
