    Job Description & Summary

    • The Manager of Digital Delivery and Software Engineering manages and oversees the design and development of software applications.
    • They are responsible for leading teams as they complete various software development projects, ensuring that software design and development requirements are met, overseeing the consistency of user experiences, and managing a team of software engineers and developers.
    • As a Manager of Digital Delivery and Engineering you will lead a team of developers, data scientists and software engineers, collaborating with product managers and other relevant stakeholders.
    • The Manager of Digital Delivery and Engineering's responsibilities will include assigning tasks to software engineering teams, setting long and short-term project goals, negotiating with vendors and clients, ensuring that projects stay within time and budgetary restraints, and compiling reports for Senior Managers and Directors.
    • To be successful at this role the Manager of Digital Delivery should keep abreast of cutting-edge advancements in technology and software development, be dedicated to excellence, have prior team leadership experience, be able to collaborate with team members, and be a strategic problem-solver.
    • Ultimately, a top-notch Digital Delivery Manager should demonstrate excellent communication skills, an ability to connect with other engineers and developers, an ability to think on their feet and clearly communicate their vision to various audiences.
    • They must also have a solid foundation in software design and development principles

    Responsibilities

    • Design, execute, utilize, and maintain software engineering applications.
    • Prepare all required Technical Proposal pertinent to software engineering.
    •  Administer support for Business Development, Systems Engineering and Technical personnel.
    • Supervise training and development of software engineering staff.
    • Assign work to software engineering personnel and evaluate plus manage their performance.
    • Support to recruit engineering personnel, technical staffing, and project team’s formation.
    • Supervise engineering deliverables.
    • Manages continuing support and provides system metrics for client facing products.
    • Present practical input for strategic technology decisions.
    •  Support preparation of Technology Roadmap.
    • Comply with all professional departmental as well as company best practices.
    • Present project management backup as required.
    • Help translation of business requirements into technical needs and actions.
    • Supervise reporting responsibility for independent software contractors, software engineers and outsourcing partners.
    • Ensure software engineering personnel is suitably trained to perform all job functions and suitably use project and software related tools.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in the relevant Engineering field (Master's Degree preferable).
    • Strong leadership skills - At least 6 years of experience in software design and developing customer-oriented platforms
    • Experience in recruiting software engineers and contributors.
    • Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
    • Must be knowledgeable about industry trends, best practices, and change management.
    • A sound understanding of software engineering principles.
    • The ability to maintain a positive attitude and restore morale to a team.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    Travel Requirements:

    • Up to 20%.
