We are currently seeking an experienced and results-driven individual to join our team as a Manager (Accounts) at our Head Office in Ibadan, Oyo State. As a middle-level manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the overall financial management of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and audit coordination. The role also involves analyzing financial performance, supervising accounting operations, and providing strategic input to aid decision-making in line with the company’s financial goals and regulatory obligations.
Job Description
Prepare monthly Profit and Loss Accounts, Balance Sheet, and Final Accounts in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Maintain and update fixed asset registers, prepare asset disposal schedules, and ensure accurate depreciation accounting.
Conduct regular bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow positions, and ensure the integrity of financial records.
Support the preparation of annual budgets, monitor variances, and provide reports to support management decisions.
Ensure the timely filing of VAT, WHT, CIT, and other statutory obligations in compliance with FIRS and state tax requirements.
Support and liaise with external auditors, address audit queries, and implement recommended internal control improvements.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll postings, and general ledger maintenance to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualification & Required Skills
A first degree (BSc. /HND) in Accounting with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division / Lower Credit
Possession of a relevant professional qualification such as ICAN/ACCA, is MANDATORY
Minimum of 5–10 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
