EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• A degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Machine Tool Proficiency: Expertise in setting up and operating manual and CNC machine tools including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to produce parts to exact specifications.
• Precision Measurement: Mastery of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and gauges for quality control and inspection.
• Materials Knowledge: Strong understanding of the properties and machinability of various materials, including metals (steel, aluminium, etc.) and plastics.
• Manufacturing Processes: Deep knowledge of machining techniques, tooling selection, and operational sequencing.
• CNC Skills: Experience with CNC programming and operation (G-code/M-code) is a significant advantage.

EXPERIENCE

• Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years of proven, hands-on experience as a Machinist in a fabrication, manufacturing, or workshop environment.
• Portfolio: A portfolio or photographic examples of past projects and finished parts is highly encouraged.
