Logistics & Receiving Supervisor at Global Profilers

Job Description

• We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics & Receiving Supervisor to manage the coordination of raw material deliveries and outbound customer logistics at our feedmill facility in Ibadan. 
• The ideal candidate will have experience in the feedmill or agribusiness industry and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities
Inbound Logistics Management:

• Coordinate with truck drivers and suppliers to manage the timely and orderly reception of raw materials. Prioritize vehicle arrivals to optimize offloading efficiency.

Customer Truck Scheduling:

• Ensure a “first come, first dispatched” system is maintained to promote fairness and minimize delays in customer truck dispatching.

Weighbridge Operations:

• Monitor and record truck weights before and after offloading to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.

Security Oversight:

• Supervise the security team to ensure adherence to company safety and access control policies during truck movements and material handling.

Parking & Traffic Coordination:

• Manage parking logistics for both supplier and customer trucks within and around the factory premises to avoid congestion and maintain order.

Quality Control Coordination:

• Liaise with the Quality Control team to ensure timely sampling and testing of incoming raw materials as part of the receiving process.

Requirements

• Experience in a logistics, operations, or receiving role within a feedmill or related agribusiness environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage both internal teams and external partners (drivers, suppliers, customers).
• Familiarity with weighbridge systems and basic inventory or logistics software is an advantage.
• Must be organized, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
