Logistics Operations Officer at High Performance Consulting

Job Summary

• The Logistics Operations Officer will oversee day-to-day transport and terminal operations at an assigned location, coordinating truck and driver activities to ensure safe, efficient and seamless operations.
• The role will manage driver deployment and supervision, vehicle movements, attendance, compliance, incident management and operational reporting, while working closely with the client and internal teams to deliver effective transport operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transport and terminal operations.
• Supervise and manage drivers, including deployment, attendance, conduct and performance.
• Coordinate truck movements and ensure effective vehicle utilisation.
• Monitor vehicle availability, operational readiness, delays and downtime.
• Ensure drivers and vehicles comply with safety and operational requirements.
• Manage and escalate operational issues, incidents and breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare regular operational reports.

Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in logistics, transport operations, fleet management or a similar role.
• Demonstrable experience in driver supervision and management.
• Strong coordination, communication, problem-solving and people management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
