    Logistics Associate

    Job Summary

    • The Logistics Associate is responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of materials within an organization.
    • He or she is expected to bring a combination of strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills, along with a keen understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.
    • Attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders are also essential for success in this role.

    Key Responsibilities
    Logistics:

    • Monitor logistics vendors performance and address any issues or concerns promptly.
    • Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and organizational logistics policies;
    • Coordinate the transportation of all kinds; Optimize transportation routes and ensure timely deliveries
    • Ensure compliance with customs regulations for both local and international shipments and transportation
    • Ensure adequate control and monitoring of fuel usage and records; Keep track of fuel utilization for each vehicle and make monthly reconciliation of bills and vehicle records
    • Implement strategies for greater fuel efficiency and vehicle maintenance; Managing vehicle licensure and registration; Ensure validity of drivers’ license and periodic training for drivers
    • Provide and maximize data analysis to support decision making; and generate regular reports to communicate Logistics and Fleet Performance as well as key other AssetCo units’ performance to relevant stakeholders
    • And any other strategies functions/responsibilities as may be assigned by the reporting line.

    Quality, Cost and Risk Management:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and Implement efficiency measures to enhance overall logistics performance
    • Optimize logistics processes to minimize transportation costs; and collaborate with suppliers and carriers to negotiate favorable terms
    • Identify and assess potential risks within the logistics functions; and implement risk mitigation strategies.
    • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure product and service quality.

    Requirements
    Education:

    • Minimum Requirement: Degree in Fleet Management, Logistics Management, Business or any related field.
    • Added Advantage: Masters degree in FleetManagementor Operations,

    Experience:

    • Minimum Requirement: 4 years
    • Added Advantage: > 6 years

    Required Skills:

    • Analytical and problem-solving skills; and Knowledge of data analysis and interpretation to make informed decisions
    • Strong management qualities and the ability to think tactically and develop short-term supply chain plans
    • Effective communication and negotiation skills to interact with internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders
