We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join the team as a Logistics Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for logistics and a desire to contribute to the smooth operation of the supply chain.
Job Responsibilities
Receive and process incoming orders, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
Monitor and manage inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers, and track stock movements to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule shipments, track deliveries, and address any issues that may arise during transportation.
Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and customs.
Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners to ensure effective communication and a seamless flow of information within the supply chain.
Identify and resolve logistical issues promptly, working proactively to prevent future challenges.
Conduct quality checks on received goods and report any discrepancies or damage.
Maintain and update records in the company’s logistics database, ensuring information accuracy and accessibility.
Job Requirements
BSc / HND; additional qualifications in Logistics or a related field is a plus.
Previous experience in a logistics or supply chain role.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to handle various tasks simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with different stakeholders.
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order processing, documentation, and inventory management.
Ability to identify and solve logistical challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with logistics software is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
