Job Summary

• We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics and Supply Chain Officer with hands-on experience in poultry agro-processing.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement, logistics, and supply chain functions to ensure efficient and timely delivery of materials essential to production.
• This role is crucial to maintaining smooth operations and a reliable supply network within the plant.

Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Procurement:

• Source, negotiate, and procure poultry-related raw materials, consumables, and packaging supplies.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, lead times, and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, contracts, and procurement documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain effective vendor relationships.

Logistics Management:

• Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely movement of raw materials and finished goods.
• Coordinate with transport providers to arrange efficient delivery schedules.
• Optimize delivery routes and freight costs to improve logistics efficiency.
• Track and monitor the flow of goods, resolving any delays or disruptions promptly.

Inventory and Coordination:

• Work closely with inventory and store teams to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Reconcile deliveries, invoices, and inventory records regularly.
• Maintain well-organized logistics and supply chain documentation for audits and internal reporting.
• Collaborate with the production and operations teams to anticipate supply needs and avoid stockouts.

Compliance & Reporting:

• Ensure all activities comply with industry, safety, and regulatory standards related to poultry processing.
• Submit weekly and monthly reports on procurement, stock movement, and logistics performance.

Qualifications & Experience

• OND, HND, or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Animal Husbandry, Food Technology, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in supply chain and logistics within a poultry agro-processing environment (this is mandatory).
• Strong understanding of poultry processing operations and supply chains.
• Familiarity with logistics networks in Ibadan and surrounding areas is a plus.
