Logistic Assistant at Community Health, Justice and Peace Initiative for Development (JDPH)

JDPH is recruiting for the position of a logistics assistant who will be in charge of performing daily support tasks to maintain a smooth workflow in warehouses in Fune and Fika LGAs of Yobe state.

Responsibilities

• Enter all equipment into the inventory, ensure proper check out and issuance of equipment to staff. Submit inventory reports to Chief of Party.
• Issue waybills for equipment or supplies being transferred from warehouse or office to another work location.
• Create distribution lists for supplies being issued directly to beneficiaries.
• Ensure the correct maintenance of the immovable goods is performed and that the other staff is provided with rules for correctly making use of these goods. Ensure that all warehouses and equipment are properly insured.
• Coordinate and supervise drivers, security guards, and cleaners
• Ensure adherence of drivers and security officers to Field Emergency and Security Plan.
•  Plan with the drivers for the safety of routes traveled by staff.
•  Ensure that all materials/property are kept safe in accordance with the security policy
• Ensure the vehicles and machines utilization planning.
• Ensures that vehicles’ and machines’ maintenance and repair are carried out and that all monitoring reports and regular checks are correctly performed.
• He/she ensures that, relatively to the use of vehicles and machines, the organization’s procedures and rules are followed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND or its equivalent.
• Prior experience as a logistics assistant at a large warehouse.
• Ability to handle and maneuver fragile stock with ease.
• Strong communication, memorization, and teamwork skills.
• Outstanding organizational and investigative abilities.
• Capacity to perform your duties diligently, particularly during stressful periods.
• Physically fit.
