The Opportunity:

We are seeking highly motivated and results-driven Loan Officers to join our growing team. You will be at the forefront of providing crucial financial access to our members, assessing their needs, and guiding them through our loan application process. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to responsible lending practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with prospective loan applicants (individuals, MSMEs, cooperative members) to understand their financial needs and purpose of the loan.
• Educate applicants on SavingsBox Multipurpose Cooperative Society various loan products, terms, interest rates, and repayment schedules.
• Guide applicants through the loan application process, ensuring all required documentation is accurately submitted.
• Conduct thorough credit assessments, including financial analysis, background checks, and risk evaluation, to determine loan eligibility and appropriate loan amounts.
• Prepare loan proposals and present them for approval in accordance with the cooperative\\\'s credit policy.
• Facilitate loan disbursement process upon approval, ensuring timely release of funds.
• Monitor loan portfolio performance, actively engaging in early collections efforts for delinquent accounts and ensuring adherence to repayment schedules.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with members, fostering trust and loyalty.
• Adhere strictly to all regulatory guidelines and internal policies related to lending and credit risk management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience as a Loan Officer, Credit Analyst, or in a similar lending role, preferably within a financial institution, microfinance bank, or cooperative.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess financial statements and evaluate credit risk.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a diverse loan portfolio.
• High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
• Proficiency in lending software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
