    Loan Agent Supervisor

    Job Summary

    • The Loan Agent Supervisor will lead the recruitment, management, and performance of loan agents, ensuring consistent loan disbursement, quality customer acquisition, and strong repayment performance. This role is critical in scaling the lending operation while maintaining low default rates.
    • This role is remote to your location, however you are to live and work around or close to the nearest market to your location.

    Key Responsibilities

    Recruitment & Onboarding of Loan Agents

    • Actively source, interview, and hire loan agents
    • Build a strong pipeline of field agents across target locations
    • Conduct onboarding and training for new agents
    • Ensure agents understand loan products, processes, and targets

    Team Management & Performance

    • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of loan agents
    • Set and track performance targets (disbursement & collections)
    • Monitor agent productivity and enforce accountability
    • Coach underperforming agents and recommend replacements where necessary

    Loan Origination & Disbursement

    • Oversee loan application process from sourcing to disbursement
    • Ensure proper KYC and documentation compliance
    • Review and approve loan applications within assigned limits
    • Drive loan volume growth through agent network

    Credit Risk & Portfolio Quality

    • Ensure strict adherence to credit policies
    • Monitor loan portfolio performance (PAR, defaults)
    • Flag high-risk customers and enforce risk mitigation strategies
    • Track repayment performance of loans issued by agents
    • Ensure timely follow-up on overdue loans
    • Support and enforce recovery actions to minimize losses

    Reporting & Insights

    • Prepare regular reports on:
    • Agent performance
    • Loan disbursement
    • Repayment trends
    • Provide recommendations to improve performance and reduce defaults

    Customer Experience

    • Ensure agents maintain professionalism with customers
    • Resolve escalated loan-related complaints

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Number of active loan agents recruited
    • Loan disbursement volume
    • Portfolio at Risk (PAR)
    • Default rate
    • Agent productivity
    • Recovery rate

    Requirements

    Education

    • Minimum of OND/ HND/BSc in any relevant field

    Experience

    • 0-1 year experience in lending, microfinance, or fintech
    • Experience managing or supervising field agents is a strong advantage
