Literacy Teacher at Pershing Hills Elementary

• We are seeking an inspiring and dynamic Literacy teacher to join our dedicated team! You will play a crucial role in instilling a love of reading and writing in students.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging literacy lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Foster a love of books and reading through a variety of techniques, including storytelling, shared reading, and book discussions.
• Develop strong foundational literacy skills in phonics, comprehension, and writing.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide targeted support and differentiated instruction.
• Build a classroom environment that promotes creativity, curiosity, and a joy of language.
• Maintain a well-organized classroom library and encourage independent reading.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan integrated literacy activities and share best practices.
