Role Description

• We are seeking skilled Linesmen for a full-time on-site role located in Abuja, Nigeria.
• As a Linesman, you will be responsible for the construction, repair, and maintenance of high-voltage transmission lines and related infrastructure.
• This includes installing and inspecting power line systems, working at heights, handling electrical and fiber-optic cables, and ensuring safety standards are met at all times.
• Collaboration with engineers and project teams to meet project timelines and deliver quality solutions is essential to this role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in power line construction, installation, and repair techniques
• Ability to handle high-voltage equipment and tools, with a strong understanding of safety protocols
• Experience with OPGW installation and maintenance
• Knowledge of SCADA systems and their operations is an advantage
• Physical fitness for working at heights and in challenging conditions
• Capacity to interpret technical drawings and follow detailed project plans
• Strong team-working skills with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Relevant certifications or vocational training in electrical engineering or a related field
• Prior experience in high-voltage power transmissions is preferred
