    Legal & Research Documentation Officer (Documents & Graphics)

    About the Role

    We are recruiting a Legal & Research Documentation Officer to support our internal documentation and research team. This role combines legal-style research, document preparation, formatting, and graphics. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in structured professional environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    Research & Writing

    • Conduct research on policies, regulations, and case precedents.
    • Draft summaries, briefing notes, memos, and explanatory letters.
    • Prepare internal reports and compliance notes for senior review.

    Document Production & Control

    • Draft and format professional documents (letters, agreements, reports).
    • Merge and reorganize multiple files (Word, PDF, images).
    • Build/update professional TOCs with pagination, cross-references, and hyperlinks.
    • Apply advanced MS Word formatting (styles, numbering, headers/footers).
    • Perform OCR on scans; ensure accuracy and print-ready quality.
    • Maintain file version control and structured digital folders.

    Case & Team Support

    • Assist senior team in preparing documentation packages.
    • Review files for completeness and accuracy.
    • Provide regular task updates; meet strict deadlines.
    • Support case analysis with organized notes and references.

    Graphics & Layout

    • Create simple professional layouts (letterheads, certificates, forms, flyers).
    • Deliver files in print-ready and web-optimized formats.

    Compliance & Confidentiality

    • Handle sensitive information with discretion.
    • Follow internal SOPs, NDAs, and compliance protocols.

    Requirements

    • BA/BSc/HND in Law, Social Sciences, ICT, or related fields.
    • 4+ years’ experience in research, documentation, or a structured professional environment.
    • Excellent research and writing ability.
    • Advanced MS Word skills (styles, TOCs, mail merge, track changes).
    • Strong PDF editing skills (combine, OCR, redact, secure).
    • Competence in Canva/Corel/Adobe design tools.
    • Typing speed of at least 45 WPM with accuracy.
    • Strong organizational skills; strict confidentiality.
    • Prior exposure to document-heavy environments is an advantage.

    Remuneration

    • ₦150,000 – ₦200,000 monthly (based on experience & performance).
    • Probation: 3 months.
    • Performance review & increment based on delivery and quality.
