    Legal Officer

    As a Legal Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring legal compliance, managing contracts, and providing legal support to various departments. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of industry/sector regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations affecting the company.
    • Monitor and assess the organization's compliance with legal standards and industry regulations.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
    • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
    • Work closely with various departments to ensure contracts align with business objectives and comply with legal requirements.
    • Maintain a centralized repository for all legal documents.
    • Provide legal guidance to internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal issues.
    • Conduct legal research to support decision-making and problem-solving.
    • Collaborate with external legal counsel as necessary.
    • Identify potential legal risks and propose strategies to mitigate them.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of risk management programs.
    • Conduct periodic legal audits to assess and address potential risks.
    • Manage and oversee legal disputes, including liaising with external counsel.
    • Provide support in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Law.
    • Admission to the Bar is an advantage.
    • Years of experience as a Legal Officer or in a similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of industry/sector regulations and legal principles.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
