    Legal Officer

    ​​​​​​​Job Responsibilities:

    • Legal Compliance: Ensure the company's operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts including client agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements.
    • Risk Management: Identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, including advising on potential liabilities and legal disputes.
    • Corporate Governance: Provide guidance on corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
    • Intellectual Property: Protect the company's intellectual property rights through patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
    • Legal Research: Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the company's operations and provide timely advice to stakeholders.
    • Dispute Resolution: Handle legal disputes, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms as necessary.
    • Training and Education: Conduct training sessions for employees on legal matters, compliance requirements, and best practices.
    • Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of company policies related to legal and compliance matters.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Sales, Human
    • Resources, and Operations to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business decisions.
    • Alignment with Company's Mission and Goals:
    • Ensures legal compliance to protect the company's reputation and maintain trust with clients and stakeholders.
    • Facilitates business growth by providing legal support for contracts and partnerships.
    • Mitigates legal risks to safeguard the company's assets and interests.
    • Promotes a culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct within the organization.
    • Required Certifications or Industry-Specific

    Educational Qualifications and Required Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) is required; Master's degree in Law (LLM) preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law, preferably with a focus on corporate or commercial law.
    • Experience in technology-related legal matters is highly desirable
    • Certification in Business Law or Corporate Law is advantageous.
    • Knowledge of technology law or certifications related to cybersecurity and data privacy is beneficial.

    Competencies:

    • Profound understanding of corporate and commercial law.
    • Familiarity with technology law, intellectual property rights, and contract law.
    • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in legal documentation.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ethical conduct and integrity.
    • Proactive approach to identifying and addressing legal issues.
    • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
