We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Legal Associate to join a reputable law firm in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The ideal candidate will support litigation and advisory functions, conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and assist senior lawyers in delivering high-quality legal services to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and analysis on assigned matters.
Draft legal documents including pleadings, contracts, legal opinions, and correspondence.
Assist in litigation processes, court appearances, and case management.
Review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
Liaise with clients, courts, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders as required.
Maintain proper documentation and case files.
Support senior associates and partners in legal advisory and transactional work.
Ensure compliance with professional ethics and firm policies.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognized institution.
Must be a male candidate called to the Nigerian Bar and possess a valid practising licence.
Minimum of3 years’ post-call experiencein a law firm (preferred).
Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
Good knowledge of Nigerian laws and court procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
