Purpose of the Job

• The QA/QC Lead, reporting to the Head of Infrastructure Quality, is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and control processes for outside plant fiber operations.
• This includes conducting spot checks, milestone and final acceptance testing, managing escalations, enforcing quality standards, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
• The role also involves ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and contributing to the overall quality objectives of the Infrastructure Division.
• Additionally, the QA/QC Lead is tasked with building capacity and developing the teams under their supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Ensure all outside plant fiber deployments and operations adhere to established quality standards.
• Conduct periodic audits and verifications of as-maintained information and records.
• Maintain and update standards, specifications, and training documentation.

Reporting

• Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on performance indices for the Infrastructure Quality Unit.
• People Management and Training
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Drive internal and external training initiatives to enhance team performance.

Key Competencies

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Professional certification as a Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) is an added advantage.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of turnkey fiber deployments and civil works standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools, AutoCAD/Visio, with knowledge of GIS being an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Work Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in turnkey fiber deployment and civil works standards and specifications.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, and familiar with CAD and GIS tools.
