Lead Project Engineer at Hedgestone Nigeria

Responsibilities

1. Shall lead and manage all engineering design activities, ensuring designs shall be completed to 100% FEED/DED Specifications.
2. Shall be responsible for the development and finalization of all project design, engineering, and construction philosophies.
3. Shall collaborate closely with procurement teams to ensure material availability and alignment with engineering specifications, providing technical input for vendor selection and contract finalization.
4. Shall prepare technical specifications for procurement packages
5. Monitor the EPC Contractor’s adherence to approved welding procedures (WPS/WPQT) and NDT protocols.
6. Shall compile and verify as-built drawings, ensuring alignment with final construction records.
7. Shall ensure the integrity and functionality of the pipeline system by verifying designs during testing and calibration activities.
8. Shall certify mechanical completion and readiness for gas introduction. 

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical/Pipeline Engineering.
2. Minimum 12 years in pipeline engineering, including 5 years in lead roles for gas transmission projects.
3. Technical mastery of pipeline design, hydraulic analysis, material selection and construction.
4. Experience with FEED, HAZOP, and ASME B31.8/B31.4 compliance.
5. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Caesar II, and Pipeline Simulation Tools.
6. Chartered Engineer (COREN/NSE) or equivalent is an advantage.
7. Strong Verbal, written, and organizational skills.
