    Lead Creative Strategist

    We are a connected marketing agency, a full-service agency with modern creativity & media, data, and experiential services.

    The strategy team at Madison & Park set the direction for wonderful Above the Line and Below the Line (ATL & BTL) experiences that create commercial advantages for our clients. We work with our colleagues in various advertising departments to define and choreograph the overarching vision for memorable and effective brand experiences across every consumer marketing touch-point for our portfolio of clients.

    We are seeking to hire an outstanding Lead Creative Strategist – someone who can identify transformative insights and weave them into powerful strategic stories that inspire the creative process that works effectively for our clients and their brands.

    Strategy Development

    • Leading the strategic out-of-the-box thinking for the brands, particularly when it comes to ideation, planning, and activating communications campaigns.
    • Provide a robust framework for all areas of clients’ marketing activity that helps define and drive success, and plan activity in the context of the bigger picture
    • Identifying and defining the key brand, consumer, competitive, and communication challenges along the Consumer Decision Journey - and how our work can address them in innovative ways.
    • Inspiring integrated creative/tech/media/experiential teams to address those challenges with their respective solutions.
    • Contributing to the overall thought-leadership program within the Strategy department for internal inspiration and understanding, as well as client learning and development.
    • Playing the lead role in reinforcing Madison & Park as a valued strategic partner, identifying and exploiting opportunities for deepening strategy’s contribution to clients projects and deliverables
    • Be a thought leader, open and willing to develop and share expertise in the team and the wider industry
    • Taking on responsibility for the creation of various award submissions on assigned respective brands, including those for creative, strategy, and experiential campaigns.

    Client Engagement Support  

    • Collaborating with agency inter-departmental teams to spot strategic opportunities, fuel creativity, and measure/track the commercial impact before making optimization recommendations.
    • Responding to client problems with cogent and inspirational direction in collaboration with creative and accounts teams, providing insight and thinking that will set clients ‘marketing experience apart from its competitors.
    • Leading clients and the internal teams on a journey to sell in thinking and solutions, using compelling logic and exemplary written and presentation skills
    • Collaborating with client service & ops teams to uncover where data insights will give us a unique lead on a client’s problem, and develop and test research hypotheses
    • Managing research activities to develop a robust, intimate, and actionable understanding of audience/customer needs, attitudes, and behaviors, and locate these in the market and cultural trends
    • Be recognized as a collaborative and constructive member of cross-disciplinary Madison & Park teams, working closely with others to achieve better work

    Qualifications

    • A four-year college education with 5 to 7 years of advertising/marketing communication experience, preferably working in Marketing Account Planning/Brand & Creative Strategy role. ( This is not a financial accounting role)
    • Some track record of success, ability to demonstrate value and impact in strategy roles
    • Demonstrable experience as a lead strategist with supporting teams on advertising communications and campaigns, demonstrating integrated thinking in creative briefs
    • Briefs creative & supporting teams confidently and collaboratively, keeps them focused on an overall vision, and provides timely and useful stimulus and feedback
    • Experience in working and collaborating in an inter-agency environment, ideally on a cross-market brand
    • Working knowledge of a variety of advertising disciplines, particularly content and campaign planning, including digital and experiential development. Can advise how these work together and overtime
    • Numerate and able to work with data to generate hypotheses, draw conclusions and measure the business impact of work
    • Ability to demonstrate curiosity about what makes people act and think the way they do across all marketing channels, with a skill for extracting actionable insights from a wide range of research techniques
    • A positive team player who works effectively with inputs from others
    • Leads rigorous and persuasive research that identifies and explains the key market and cultural trends affecting a client’s business
    • Creative and research skills who look in unexpected places for the answer.
    • A critical thinking brain powered with the tenacity and grit to sort the good from the great and champion the best ideas all the way to market.
    • An infectious passion for creativity and the smarts to make it happen.
