The Laboratory Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients visiting the laboratory.
The role involves patient registration, appointment scheduling, sample documentation, payment coordination, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and laboratory personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome patients and visitors professionally.
Register patients and maintain accurate records.
Schedule laboratory appointments where applicable.
Verify patient information before sample collection.
Receive laboratory requests and issue receipts where necessary.
Coordinate communication between patients and laboratory staff.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Handle telephone enquiries and respond appropriately.
Maintain organized filing systems.
Assist with administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
OND/HND/BSc in Business Administration, Health Information Management or related field.
Previous receptionist or customer service experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage.
