Kitchen Assistant at West Africa Vocational Education (WAVE)

Job Description

• Must be knowledgeable in standard culinary techniques, such as baking, grilling, roasting, stir-frying and sauteing.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation work stations
• Assist in the food preparation process by cutting, chopping, slicing, and washing vegetables, meats, and other ingredients
• Must have knowledge of Inventory methods and data entry on system or be willing to learn
• Follow all food health and safety requirements
• Assist with the unloading of deliveries and their proper storage.
• Communicate kitchen needs to supervisors.

Kitchen Staff Requirement

• Minimum High school certificate
• Good experience in a restaurant preferred.
• Existing knowledge of food safety procedures preferred.
