Job Description

• Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, such as chopping, slicing, and portioning, as directed by the chefs or cooks.
• Assembly and Plating: Help in assembling and plating dishes, ensuring they meet presentation standards and portion sizes. Ensure that all food items are ready for delivery or pickup
• Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all food safety and hygiene guidelines. This includes washing dishes, cleaning utensils, and sanitizing kitchen surfaces regularly.
• Stock Management: Assist with the organization and rotation of food stock, including ingredients, supplies, and perishables. Notify the kitchen manager or chef when supplies are running low.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that kitchen equipment, such as ovens, stoves, grills, and food processors, are in good working condition. Report any issues to the maintenance team for prompt repair.
• Waste Management: Properly dispose of kitchen waste, including food scraps, packaging, and trash, following waste disposal guidelines and recycling practices.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to assist in the smooth operation of the kitchen. Be willing to take on additional tasks or responsibilities as needed.
