Junior Software Solution Specialist at Waje Smart Solutions Limited

Job Description

• The ideal candidate will have a technical background with at least 2 years of experience in software development and testing.
• The successful Junior software specialist will have knowledge of Python and version control (git/Github, CI/CD) and be a quick learner with a passion for software development.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Serve as the primary point of contact for software support and maintenance, including but not limited to enhancements, upgrades, and integrations.
• Configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot software applications system environments.
• Assist with data entry, analysis, and reporting as needed.
• Adhere to defined processes and procedures related to software development and support.
• Work closely with other teams to resolve technical issues to ensure smooth operations.
• Keep abreast of new software releases and updates and make recommendations for adoption as appropriate.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of software documentation.
• Participate in software testing efforts, including functional, regression, load, and performance testing.
• Escalate critical issues to your Team Lead in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• 2 - 3 years’ experience in software development, testing, or engineering.
• Knowledge of Python programming language, and Java.
• Experience with Python Libraries and frameworks such as Panda and Django.
• Should have Debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Should have knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
