Overview

• In this role, candidate is responsible for creating designs and sketches for different collections.
• S/he will sketch designs, select fabrics and patterns and give directions on how to make the designed outfits.
• As the Junior Designer, s/he will also consult with clients to create unique designs that meet their needs and specifications.
• Create designs and sketches for all business lines.
• Produce clear and detailed fashion illustrations by hand or CAD.
• Create mood boards that project collections ahead of sketching and design process.
• Select each style’s fabric, trims, materials & colours that fit into design plan.
• Ensure garments are accurately costed (no overpricing or underpricing).
• Create a tech pack for each design
• Draft patterns for production when required
• Conduct quality control on all finished garments
• Receive finished Ready-To-Wear garments to be stocked on the shop floor
• Ensure designs are in line with brand’s aesthetics
• Ensure brand remains market leader and trendsetter in innovation.
• Source and procure fabrics, trims & other materials.
• Oversee pattern drafting, cutting and production of samples.
• Conduct quality control to ensure outfit meets design specifications
• Work with tailors when necessary for the production of each outfit.
• Support marketing team in developing campaigns advertisements
• Research and proffer trend projections

Required Skills / Competence

• B.Sc. or HND in any related discipline
• Certification in Design is a plus
• 3-4 years experience in a creative position
• Tailoring experience is an advantage
• High level of professionalism
• Ability to carry out extensive research online & offline
• Result-oriented team player with exceptional motivation and interpersonal skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Salary
N100,000 / Month + Benefits.
