    Junior Credit Officer

    Job Summary

    • We are hiring a detail-oriented Junior Credit Officer to support receivables management and collections activities across the organization.
    • This role plays a key part in ensuring timely recovery of outstanding payments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting overall credit control processes.
    • You will work closely with the Credit & Collections function and Sales team to monitor customer accounts, follow up on payments, and help reduce overdue balances while maintaining good customer relationships.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the monitoring of customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments
    • Assist in preparing and updating receivables aging reports
    • Conduct routine calls, emails, and messages to customers for payment reminders
    • Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer interactions
    • Support credit checks and documentation for new and existing customers
    • Assist in reconciling customer accounts and resolving payment discrepancies
    • Work with Sales Representatives to track and follow up on overdue accounts
    • Escalate long outstanding debts or high-risk accounts to senior management
    • Ensure proper documentation of invoices, payment records, and credit agreements
    • Support compliance with company credit policies and procedures

    Requirements

    • BSc or HND in Accounting, Finance, Banking & Finance, or a related field
    • 1–3 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or collections
    • Basic understanding of trade credit and receivables management
    • Good communication and negotiation skills
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
    • Ability to manage multiple accounts and follow up consistently
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting tools
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment
