Job Description:

Our client is in need of a Junior Cost Controller from a mining background with experience expansion projects to join their team on site in West Africa.

Responsibilities:

• Cost control and cost reporting.
• Budget control, variation orders and change management.
• Project man-hours control and reporting.
• Project commitment and expenditure control.
• Estimating and forecasting.
• Project accounting including client invoicing and cash-flow management.
• Mentoring and training subordinates.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Costing, Quantity surveying or Accounting qualification.
• 5 years previous experience in project cost control / cost engineering and project accounting within the mining sector.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Good financial experience with high level of accuracy.
• Computer literate in MS Office packages and cost control software.
• Experience working in multi-cultural, diverse teams.
• Previous expatriate experience in West Africa preferred.
