Junior Communications and Media Coordinator at SHIFT Nigeria

Description

• We are looking for an experienced, passionate and creative Communications and Media Coordinator to join our team.
• As a Communications and Media Coordinator you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy in order to increase our online presence and improve our marketing efforts. You will be working closely with the Communications Director.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative and engaging social media strategies
• Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels
• Create engaging multimedia content across multiple platforms
• Develop, launch and manage campaigns that promote your organisation and brand
• Form key relationships with influencers across the social media platforms
• Undertake audience research
• Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions
• Monitor, track, analyse and report on performance on social media platforms
• Analyse sector and industry activity
• Recommend improvements to increase performance
• Set targets to increase brand awareness and increase customer engagement
• Manage a budget for social media activities
• Encourage collaboration across teams and departments

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing and other relevant courses
• At least 2 years of experience in Communications or Marketing.

Requirements:

• Strong primary, secondary, and online research skills
• Strong writing and communications skills
• Graphic design skills: ability to develop graphics/infographics, etc
• Previous experience working with teams or organizations
• Comfortable working in a rapidly changing work environment
• Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media etc.) and market research methods
• Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools
• Solid computer skills,including MS Office, marketing software (Canva, Animoto, Adobe Creative Suite & CRM) and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords etc.)
• Attention to detail, including exacting standards to maintain accuracy and excellence
• Ability to work collaboratively and comfortable working in cross functional teams
• High level of comfort with using technology to complete tasks (Google Tools, email platforms, social media platforms, etc)
• Demonstrated commitment to social justice issues and understanding of challenges facing poor communities across the nation
• A passion and commitment to democratic principles and making Nigeria great
• Humility, integrity, passion, motivation, and a self-starter attitude.

Salary
N30,000 - N50,000 / month
