Job Description

• Analyzing market trends to help create and implement strategies that drive sales growth
• Negotiating prices and terms of sale with suppliers and manufacturers
• Reviewing bids received from suppliers to ensure they meet the company’s standards for quality and price
• Coordinating with vendors to ensure that orders are delivered on time and within budget
• Researching new suppliers to find competitive rates for new products or services
• Following protocol for processing orders and invoices
• Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.
• Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
• Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
• Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
• Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required.
• Support data collection on supplier performance
• Collate Request for Quotation (RFQ) responses and complete
• Manage supplier Invoice Queries and resolve in agreed time-scales
• Produce and maintain information on supplier non-conformance
• Support due diligence of suppliers and ensure that new suppliers are recorded and registered on business systems
• Liaise with suppliers on quality problems in conjunction with company quality standards
• Maintain technical reference files for all bought components and related suppliers
• Identify and monitor procurement across the business to assist the development of a long-term approach to procurement in order to deliver savings, efficiency, value for money, quality standards and targets, diversity objectives, environmental standards and improved capability.
