Job Description: We are looking for a very smart, intelligent and talented Junior Accountant who is also coachable and ready to take responsibilities in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate would work with the finance manager to ensure the proper management of the company account.

Responsibilities: 

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded

• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices

• Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations

• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines

• Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned

• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed

• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports

Requirements:

• HND/BSc. qualification in Accounting

• Minimum of 0-1 Year experience as an accountant

• Membership of any accountant professional bodies is encouraged

• Candidates must have strong experience in accounting

• Strong use of Excel Package is required and also good knowledge of any account software is an added advantage.

• Candidates must be very smart, good with figures and have a good understanding of an FMCG company’s operations.

• Good communication, written and interpersonal skills.
