Junior Accountant at Cedar Top Consulting Limited

Job Summary:

Support the hotel’s accounting function through accurate and timely recording, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance tasks. This entry-level role offers exposure to hotel-specific accounting processes and general ledger practices.

Key responsibilities:

• Process daily transactions (cash, cards, bank deposits) and reconcile with system records 
• Post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments for month-end close 
• Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, guest folios, and petty cash
• Assist in P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement preparation 
• Coordinate accounts payable/receivable: process invoices, chase payments, resolve discrepancies 
• Support payroll administration, including tax deductions and vendor remittances
• Maintain fixed assets register, depreciation schedules, and inventory records 
• Adhere to VAT, PAYE, and other statutory accounting requirements
