IT Asset Management Engineer at GVA Partners

Our client is seeking to hire highly skilled IT Asset Management Engineers (4) to join the join the team.

Responsibilities:

• Implement the service asset management policy and standards
• Agrees scope of the Asset Management processes, function, the items that are to be controlled, and the information that is to be recorded.
• Follow Asset Management standards, Asset Management plans and procedures
• Train respective team members on Asset Management process
• Agrees assets to be uniquely identified with naming conventions; ensures that staff comply with identification standards for object types, environments, processes, lifecycles, documentation, versions, formats, baselines, releases and templates
• Proposes and/or agrees interfaces with Change Management, Problem Management, Release Management and other functions
• Plans population of the asset DB; manages the asset DB, central libraries and tools; ensures regular housekeeping of the asset DB
• Provides monthly reports to management
• Assists auditors to audit the activities of the Asset Management team for compliance with laid-down procedures; ensures corrective action is carried out
• Recording, maintaining & reporting of all the IT Assets available in the IT Infrastructure.
• Ensure that the updated information of the assets are available in the CMDB.
• Update and maintain records of expired and decommissioned assets.
• Coordinate with vendors for repair and replacement for faulty IT assets.
• Track and report on contract, license, AMC, support renewals etc. before expiry date.
• Responsible for conducting audits of the Cis
• Maintain Software Library with Licensing knowledge
• Contract Management, track and report on contract, license, AMC, support renewals etc.
• Responsible to reconcile assets received against original order
• Responsible for IT Asset Data Quality/Accuracy (Tag, Hostname, Make, Model, Status etc)
• Responsible for maintaining the warranty documentation for supported devices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or any IT related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT Asset Management environment
• Knowledge on maintaining the complete IT Assets Life cycle
