IT and Infrastructure Implementation and Support Engineer at Doheney Services Ltd

Job Description:

We currently have immediate openings for Infrastructure/Converged Engineers with a minimum of 2 years working experience designing and operating tailored Enterprise Servers, UNIX based Operating systems; AIX, Red Hat Linux, etc., VMware, Storage systems implementation, and Data Protection for the Disaster Recovery operation, infrastructure architecture to support operating and maintaining large data centers. This position requires that the individual work within the infrastructure team as well as independently in a high-end consultative approach.

Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering design support to provide enterprise-level data exchange solutions using physical and virtual server hosting, off-site data replication, and service level solutions.
• Provide in-depth working knowledge of data center solutions.
• Implementation and support of Servers, Storage, and Converged Infrastructures, VMware, and operating systems solutions to manage data centers for high availability and redundancy, backup, and Disaster Recovery.
• Candidate will have daily interactions with clients related to meeting technical requirements.
• Domain knowledge and technical decision-making will have a critical impact on overall project implementation and execution.
• Evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, and perform problem isolation and resolution; monitor, tune, set standards, and maintain a range of computing, networking, and storage systems.
• Candidate will perform functions across some, but not all, physical media, Operating Systems, File Systems, protocol stacks & network components.
• Provide client consulting and training on the design and use of the infrastructure, storage area network systems, and architectures.
• Plan, research, evaluate, and recommend new equipment and related technologies.
• Use monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software and hardware equipment to troubleshoot and isolate problems; gauge performance and activity.
• Devise solutions to operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment.
• Candidate may develop and execute contingency plans for compute host system, storage, and network-related software/hardware failures including isolated and major outages.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience

• Advanced knowledge and experience with VMware (Design, Build, Operate)
• Knowledge of Integrated Converged Stack infrastructure i.e. VCE Vblock Blueprint Business Technologies Limited Page 2 of 2
• Knowledge with Large Scale Storage Area Network Systems for Dell EMC, IBM, HP, Hitachi, Huawei, etc.
• Knowledge with Enterprise Servers for Dell EMC, IBM, HP, Hitachi Huawei, etc.
• Knowledge of IP Networking VPN’s, switching, and routing
• Knowledge and experience with Data Protection application and hardware; Data Domain, Avamar, Networker, Veritas NetBackup appliances, etc.
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
• Knowledge of Microsoft File Systems, Operating Systems, and Applications
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft OS and Wintel systems
• Knowledge and experience with UNIX-based Operating systems; AIX, Red hat, etc.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment to produce outstanding results.
• Knowledge with documentation of design, the system builds, configurations, and support procedures.
• Ability to communicate and present ideas to a client concisely.
• Knowledge designing, implementing, and supporting converged infrastructure.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, UNIX; AIX, Red Hat-based operating systems.
• Strong working knowledge of virtualization.

Educational Qualifications:

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

Desired Certifications:

• Advanced Technical Certifications including knowledge of virtualization, networking,
• converged infrastructure, and computing platforms.
• Relevant OEM such as IBM, Dell EMC, Hitachi, etc. certifications will be an advantage
