Job Summary

• We are seeking a passionate and experienced Islamic Studies and Arabic Teacher with the ability to teach the Qur’an effectively to secondary school students.
• The ideal candidate must also have a science background and be capable of integrating Islamic teachings within a modern educational framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, and Qur’an memorization/recitation to students in line with the school’s curriculum.
• Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that align with both academic and Islamic values.
• Prepare lesson plans, assess student performance, and provide feedback to support individual learning.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to promote a holistic educational experience.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development programs.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an NCE / HND / B.A / B.ED / M.Sc Degree
• Minimum of five (5) years teaching experience in Islamic Studies, Arabic, and Qur’an in a secondary school setting.
• Strong background in science-related disciplines.
• Must reside in Ibadan or nearby areas and be willing to attend a physical interview.
• Excellent command of Arabic language and sound knowledge of Islamic theology and practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
