Investor Relationship Manager at Careers Verified

The Investor Relationship Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential investors. This role involves communicating the company's vision, strategy, and performance to investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Relationship Management:

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective investors (institutional, HNWIs).
• Act as a trusted liaison between investors and internal teams (finance, compliance, legal, operations).

Capital Raising & Fundraising Support:

• Support fundraising activities through investor outreach, presentations, and roadshows.
• Identify and target new investor segments aligned with  investment products and strategy.

Reporting & Communication:

• Prepare and distribute regular investor reports, newsletters, financial updates, and performance summaries.
• Respond promptly to investor inquiries and provide detailed explanations regarding investments, returns, and risks.

Due Diligence & Onboarding:

• Support due diligence efforts including KYC/AML checks, onboarding documentation, and investment agreements.
• Coordinate with compliance to ensure investors meet all regulatory and internal requirements.
• New Investor Acquisition: Identify and develop new investment opportunities
• Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, individual investors, and analysts.
• Communication: Develop and deliver investor presentations, reports, and other materials.
•  Investor Feedback: Gather feedback from investors and provide insights to management.
•  Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, investor sentiment, and competitor activity.
• Strategy Development: Collaborate with management to develop investor relations strategies.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualification Requirements:

• The investment portfolio management and growth is critical to business goals within the financial year, hence the responsibility to drive investment mobilization among all staff will reside with the Investor Relationship Manager.
•  Minimum 4 - 6 years of experience in investor relations or related field.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, regulatory requirements and investor relations best practices.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Effective Leadership skills.
• Professional certification in Investment Banking or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and investment management software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field
