Investment/Research Analyst at Alan & Grant

Job Summary

• The Investment Analyst supports the organisation's investment decision-making processes through detailed research, analysis, and evaluation of diverse investment opportunities. This includes various asset classes like dollar funds, equity-based funds, money market funds, and segregated portfolios. This role contributes to the seamless implementation of client strategies and provides insights that help deliver innovative, tailored investment solutions, consistently upholding high standards of integrity, professionalism, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Due Diligence

• Conducts in-depth qualitative and quantitative analysis of potential investment opportunities across various asset classes and fund structures.
• Performs rigorous due diligence on fund managers, investment products, and market trends to meticulously assess risk, performance, and alignment with client objectives.

Financial & Market Analysis

• Analyzes financial statements, portfolio performances, and market data to generate informed investment recommendations.
• Develops sophisticated valuation models, scenario analyses, and comprehensive risk assessments for diverse investment strategies.

Investment Evaluation & Recommendations

• Supports the formulation of tailored investment strategies precisely aligned with client goals and risk appetite.
• Prepares detailed reports and compelling presentations to assist senior investment managers in strategic decision-making.

Portfolio Support & Implementation

• Collaborate with portfolio managers to ensure the effective execution of recommended investment strategies.
• Monitor ongoing investment performance, review market changes, and propose adjustments as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• CFA, ICAN, ACCA or equivalent professional certification is an added advantage.
• 3-5 years of experience in investment analysis, asset management, or financial research
• Exceptional analytical skills with advanced proficiency in valuation techniques, financial modelling, and data analysis
• Strong understanding of investment funds, diverse asset classes, and complex hybrid product structures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex information clearly and concisely.
