    Inventory Manager

    Job Description

    • The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all inventory-related activities in the restaurant.
    • This includes tracking food and beverage stock, ordering supplies, minimizing waste, and ensuring optimal stock levels to support smooth kitchen and bar operations.
    • The Inventory Manager plays a key role in cost control and efficient resource utilization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of food, beverages, and other restaurant supplies.
    • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
    • Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to forecast usage and prevent shortages or overstocking.
    • Place orders with vendors and suppliers while negotiating the best possible prices and terms.
    • Receive, inspect, and properly store all incoming stock in accordance with food safety standards.
    • Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) is practiced in all storage areas.
    • Track and report inventory waste, spoilage, and theft, and take corrective actions when necessary.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to monitor inventory costs and support budgeting processes.
    • Maintain proper documentation and records of inventory transactions.
    • Use inventory management software (POS or ERP systems) to track inventory movement.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
